These hempblock can be integrated in several solutions in the building environment. From a wall to a floor or a façade, finish possible with several options. So design can be decided by architect or customer. Thinking in concepts / systems is also possible with other involved companies. Also sharing knowledge with use of my network is possible. ===== Opportunities for collaboration===== Sharing my knowledge about materials or systems, but also do have a network (C2C / Bio-based / insulation) for new innovations or new concepts. Already working with companies together, where I can use their experiences too. Some developments are in progress, maybe those developments can contribute to get solutions / materials towards a higher level. ===== Description of idea===== <WRAP box right minwidth:33%> <userpoll Rating> + ****** + **** + ** </userpoll> <WRAP centeralign> Please rate this idea! \\ Click on **Vote and view** to see the results. </WRAP> </WRAP> Use of 100 % Natural hemp building blocks will contribute towards a more sustainable city of Eindhoven, building healthy and comfortable houses / buildings or even other solutions (soundwall) or insulate a façade on the outside. These hempblocks will reduce the CO-2-emission, saving energy, more stable indoorclimate, fire-safety. All these hempblocks can be finished by other materials, so designers / architect can have extra opportunities for their design. An idea to make innovation visible is make a film from farming till making the block and build a wall or house. Use a QR-code (Greencode - project) so people can be informed about every aspect of materials and or combinations. Getting designers involved is an other opportunity to demonstrate the chain of production. ^ Illustrating file|{{public:outline_proposals:subdata:proposals:illustrations:389-q24-muur_bouwblok.jpg?400&direct|Muur bouwblok.jpg}}| ^ Type of idea|product| ^ Category of idea|technical; design| ^ Enabling conditions|The 100 % natural Hemp Building Block is a new material for the Dutch market, so maybe some building regulations and / or required tests aren't available. Due to development elsewhere in the Netherlands and being a partner of Green Deal Bio-Based Buildings some problems will be solved if they occur. Manufacturing of the block will be done in region of Venlo, planning this year. Depend on several decisions to be made, but also financial part / support needs to get attention. Example partners: architects / designers, construction company or installers (training needed) and launching customers. At the moment I've some support by an architect, innovation center, the company in UK. For market introduction and positioning product in the market is also some support needed.| ===== Stage of development===== Proven innovation: it has been used in practice on a small scale. ===== Substantiation stage of development===== First of all, there are experiences on building with hemp blocks (supported by a structure). Manufacturer UK has developed a new hemp building block, 100 % natural based on experiences and tests. On request they can be invited to show how everything will work in practice. Several projects in the U.K. (one in London) can be used as example, but there is also a you-tube film available of a winery in France, where they used the hemp blocks (with structure) too. Other developments in other countries and some (market-)studies can be found on internet, even some examples out of history will show the use hemp as a building material. Good environmental solution !! ===== Provability contribution to sustainability===== Proven contribution to sustainability; this has been shown in practice. ===== Step in the right direction===== The use of the 100 % Natural hemp block will reduce the carbon footprint, using renewable sources, getting a better indoor climate, also basic materials can be used again. Saving energy and will help farmers in region too. In total a better environment for human being, but also for animals ===== Flexible idea===== If all resources are 100 % natural, materials can be reused again, doesn't contribute towards CO-footprint or good LCA will inform everybody. Normally they add concrete into the hempblock, this isn't needed. Finishing or other solutions can be found for this block. ===== Good investment===== There will be profit for the farmer of the hemp, extra profit if they use waste land. A lot of advantages are incorporated in the material, like energy savings, fire protection, less installations (ventilation). Climate will be stable and comfortable, people and animals feel more healthy. At the end of the life material always will have a value or can be disposed easily as fertilizer etc. Again examples are a project in France or UK. Plan to get materials tested, so quality is in the solution too. ===== Comments===== The 100 % Natural building hemp block will have a lot of advantages, can be used into other markets. Developing new products is an opportunity for the company and everything we can use as examples are welcome, so I like to contribute. {{tag>public:outline_proposals:subdata:tags:all "public:outline_proposals:subdata:tags:contributions sustainable Eindhoven":"sustainable city" "public:outline_proposals:subdata:tags:scope":"products suppliers" "public:outline_proposals:subdata:tags:stage of development":"proven innovation" "public:outline_proposals:subdata:tags:contribution to sustainability":"proven contribution"}}
